Minutes of the FOP meeting held September 2nd, 2003

 

Meeting called to order at 1930 hours by President Concannon.

Opening Prayer was given by Brother Bartlett.

Pledge of Allegiance by all members.

Secretary's Report:

Brother Brady noted that no meeting was held in August due to the FOP Open House.

Treasurer's Report:

Report of Lodge finances given by Brother Brady, motion to accept as reported by Brother Brady. Seconded by Brother Snyder. Motion passed.

Labor Issues:

Pres. Concannon reported that the Labor/management meeting was reset by the administration.

There was much discussion regarding the FOP/Ohio Labor Council. Brother Gardiner made a motion to establish a committee to organize a ballet vote regarding the question of if the Lodge should contract with the OLC for Labor contract issues. A vote would be held to decide the matter on 9-5-03, between 0700 hours and 1600 hours.

The following members were nominated to the committee:

Brother Brady

Brother Bergman

Brother Combs

Brother Gardiner

The motion was seconded by Brother Snyder. the motion was passed by the membership.

New Business:

Motion by Brother Bartlett that the FOP Christmas Party be held on 12-12-03, between the hours of 1200 noon and 1800 hours, further that the Lodge donate $1500.oo towards the purchase of toys for those children that sign-up for the party.

Seconded by Brother Gardiner. Motion passed.

Old Business:

None

Charitable Contributions Committee:

Brother Bergman made a motion to donate $250,00 to the Mike Fischer 5K Run. Seconded by Brother Snyder. Motion Passed.

50/50 Drawing:

Brother Combs won the 50/50 drawing.

For the Good of the Order:

Brother Bartlett made a motion to close the Business meeting in order to allow Chet Delong from the FOP/OLC to address the membership.

Motion to adjourn By Brother Bartlett. Motion passed.
