New Business

During the December Election for President, two members were turned away at the polls due to clerical errors.  As a result, this incident was taken to the State Lodge for recommendations on how to resolve the issue.  Board recommended that the votes of those members were to be counted, one member voted and one abstained, resulting in a tie vote.  In accordance to the Constitution and By-laws the tie came to a lot and was decided on by a coin toss.  Brother Concannon succeeded as the new President.  Per the by-laws, the votes are to be destroyed.

Children’s Christmas Party, held Saturday, December 10, 2005, was a great success.  We received many letters and “thank you’s” from people commenting on how well the party was conducted.  Brother Ridgeway and all others involved did an excellent job with the food preparation, while Sister Haas and Brother Snyder decorated the Hall.  Almost everyone commented favorably on the gifts and how delighted their children were with what they received.  A good time was had by all.  Special thanks to all those who chipped in to make this year’s party more successful than we ever anticipated.

The Lodge #104 2006 Fish Fry will be held on Friday April 7, 2006.

Brother Poulton reported that due to some recent personal illnesses, he will not be able to do the majority of the Fish Fry planning.  Brother Poulton asked that anyone who can help out to please do so.  See Brother Poulton if you would like to volunteer.

Discussion was opened by Brother Statzer about the possibility of re-appropriating some of the Fish Fry profits for other purposes after the scholarship amounts were distributed.
