Legal/Labor Issues:

Brother Statzer gave a brief report regarding a pending grievance that was denied regarding a seniority issue.

There has also been a grievance filed regarding the promotional process. That will be going to arbitration.

Brother Poulton’s grievance will also be going to arbitration.

Brother Poulton is waiting for a response from two computer companies regarding the laptops.

Brother Statzer recommended a memo be issued regarding scholarship nominations.

Charitable Contributions Committee:

Brother Ridgeway discussed donation requests for Kelsey Smith, regarding severe injuries received from a dog bite. Kelsey Smith is the Neice of Dep. Brother Rob Schumacher.

Motion by Brother Ridgeway to donate $500 for Kelsey’s medical bills.

Social Committee:

Brother Ridgeway reported that the Annual Children’s Christmas Party is coming up in December. The application forms are out and are being received. Applications are due by December 1, 2007

Brother Bayot brought up the idea of membership pins for years in membership.

Brother Ridgeway also discussed the idea of a photographic display of the Executive Board for the Lodge.

Building Committee:

The Lodge was power washed by Brother Gardiner and the time has come for us to start sprucing up the lodge. A letter was initiated to the membership regarding requests for donations of paint and supplies.

Brother Zurn reported that he and Brother Geisel spent about 6 days working on the lodge’s appearance on the exterior of the building. He advised that he submitted the donation request letter to Lowe’s and is still waiting for a response.


For the Good of the Order:

Brother Poulton reported that the Lodge is in serious need of new office equipment, such as a new printer, fax machine, and desk.

Brother Poulton made a motion for the Lodge to spend not more than $2000 to update the office.

Brother Concannon reported that the winter board meeting is coming up in January.

Sister Geiger reported that the Contested and Uncontested Ballot has been created. Volunteers are need to man the polls. Brother Bayot volunteered the position of the Lodge voting center. Election will be Tuesday Dec. 4, 2007.

Motion by Brother Keechle to get rid of the non-functioning dishwasher at the Lodge.

Brother Rod Brown is hosting a Texas Hold-em tournament at the FOP Hall on Sat. Nov. 24, 2007. There will be a $20 buy-in. Game will begin at 1900 hrs.
