Legal/Labor Issues

Brother Bergman’s ULP will be going to mediation hearing.

A seniority MOU was established – regarding restoration of seniority upon returning to prior classification.

Deputy Josh Dull resigned in January.

The Grievance that was filed on behalf of Dep. Brian Crowe is going to arbitration.

Brother Matt Poulton’s grievance is going to arbitration regarding his 3 day suspension.

The court deputies have recently been assigned to serve legal paperwork out of District 7. This is being done only during times of light dockets, personnel permitting.

The next labor management meeting will be January 22, 2008 at 1030 hrs.


New Business:

Brother Bergman issued several ‘Thank-you’s’ to members involved in the upkeep and refurbishing of the lodge, as well as the negotiations team for their long hours and efforts.

Congratulations to Brother Chuck Comer, retiring after 24+ years of service.

Old Business:

Officer involved shootings – issues regarding walk-through’s, writing reports, reading of Garrity prior to making statements or doing walk-through’s, etc. This was addressed to the Sheriff who will look into the issues.

Thank you letter was received from Children’s Hospital for our donations of Christmas gifts to the children at the hospital.

Brother Zurn addressed the new painting of the Lodge and wanted to thank everyone for their help.

Brother Concannon reported that the winter board meeting is coming up January 12, 2008 at the Cherry Valley Lodge.

Executive Board Meeting is January 14, 2008 at 0800 hrs.
